Death from “Brain Freeze”??

Whenever I come home there is always something out of the ordinary about my town or the people in it. This morning my mother came into our TV room asking if someone could die from “brain freeze”? We joke about it and she explains that in an obituary in the newspaper a women who had cancer succumbed to brain freeze. This has to be a misprint right? Right?

So I emailed the Times Leader asking if this was a mistake and this was the response I got:
