For Decorating Childrens Rooms - Make It Multi-Functional

As I mentioned, children use their room for many activities besides sleeping. Here are some specific areas that you should consider designing to make the room multi-functional:
    * A play area. Play areas for younger children may include an arts & crafts center. Most children love to draw and color, so set aside a comfortable space for working on crafts.
You may also want to consider hanging a chalkboard which can be used for drawing or it can be a great teaching aid for you.
    * A reading area. Most children love to read. Provide a quiet and comfortable space that will entice them to do this. If you have the space for a comfy chair, perfect. If not, an over-stuffed floor pillow or two should do the job. Also remember that good lighting is essential for this activity.
If you could use some advice on what to look for before buying a Child Rug, click here.
    * Space to entertain friends. This becomes more important as children get older. They'll want to spend time in their room with their friends. Depending on their age, a small entertainment center, that includes a radio, CD Player, perhaps a TV and VCR may be appropriate.
As an example, my friend's daughter loves music. She has a small CD Player that allows her to spend quiet time listening to music or dancing and singing-along with her little brother. But for your own sanity, you may want to include headphones.
    * A display area. Children love pictures. So dedicate a wall (or use a corkboard) to display your child's favorite photographs and artwork. Pictures of family and friends will add to the comfort of the room.
In addition, chronological pictures of the child as they grow are interesting and will add familiarity and warmth. Children are very proud of their artwork…display it with pride!
You should also dedicate space or shelving for displaying collectibles, trophies, and other personal items.

Decorating the children’s room is a challenge because the decorating approach is different from decorating an adult or teenager’s room. For kids, their bedroom also serves as playroom where they learn, listen to music or just to be alone. The following are some decorating ideas to help you along:

    1. Talk to your child. Know what are their favorite activities, hobbies and even their fantasies. The theme of their room should revolve on this.

    2. Involve your kids in decorating their room. Let them have a say about colors, fabrics, and how they want to display their collectibles.

    3. Decorate and design the room to be multi functional because they spend many hours in their room and use it for many purposes. Have several areas like sleeping area, play area and reading area.

    4. Have a lot of storage options. Shelving with wicker baskets, plastic see-through containers and closets with lots of racks and shelves.

    5. Keep the window treatments simple. Shades, blinds and short curtains are preferable. Avoid long draperies. us fabrics that are versatile and with patterns that can be repeated on the bed sheets, pillows or lampshades.

    6. Choose the right lighting. Have task lights for reading and homework, a night light, some dimmers and of course the main lighting of the room that provides the main illumination.

    7. To add color and texture, use wallpaper or paint. You can apply whimsical borders along the top edges of the walls, and clouds or stars on the ceiling. Make sure walls are washable, so if you are using paint, choose a semi-gloss or gloss finish. Kids love bright colors, but you should limit any strong color to only one wall.

    8. Allow your child to select the design theme. Here are just a few: firehouse fun room, starry night, angels, rainbows, unicorns, baseball, a bedroom for a princess, underwater scenery, outer space, racecars, airplanes, trains, jungle motifs, wizards and dragons and dinosaurs.

Multicolor childrens loft bed with slide and tent, mattress not included, some assembly required, measures 115 3/8″ x 99 5/8″ x 49 3/4′ H.

Tween Loft Bed in Natural By Simplicity for Children: The Tween Loft Bed provides a versatile place for work, play and sleep! Finish: Natural. Concealed desk rolls out to provide ample work space. 3 spacious drawers and open shelves for extra storage. Enclosed sleep area includes heavy-duty steel safety rails. Fits standard twin-size mattress.

Room for the baby should be with as little furniture to baby may crawl freely. Furniture should be in as many colors. Should be incorporated into the baby alarm, and constantly monitor the child.

Children's strongly like certain things and they strongly hate some. The room should be as creatively done as possible. Children get bored very easily if they don't find something that might amuse them and like adults, they don't know how to make do with certain things. For this reason, it's very important you go through each of the following points in detail and make sure you ask your child whether he likes what you've decided would be the ceiling of his room.

I think the best thing when decorating a child’s or baby’s room is to use lots of fun colours. Also choose fun items of furniture that can also be interactive, while still practical

You'll need to stay away from themes like Dora The Explorer and Sponge Bob. They outgrow them too quickly and you end up doing the room over again. Try a circus theme. That works well for both sexes. You could paint a mural on the wall. You could even buy fabric and drape it on the ceiling to look like a tent. Add some clowns. If a circus theme doesn't work for you just use your basic bold colors like red, blue, green and yellow. Make balloons out of fabric with batting inside with thin cords hanging down and hang them on the wall. I think you can buy a pattern for them. They are very easy to make.

play area is most important area in children rooms. You should more focus on this area and i suggest that this area should be neat and clean because it may be possible that there are many germs. It is very harmful for their health. So always keep your house neat and clean.

And also my children room is well decorated by 3d colors and there are lots 5 cartoon wall painting in there room. And many things are decorated in my son room so it was very cool idea.

There are many art work techniques that can be used to give preferable looks in childs room. Try such as an red colour avoid to a quite fairly neutral liveable area. A producer's strategy is to keep eliminate of the exclusive walls colors to convenience the powerful new colour. The items also act as a form and add to the powerful emotions of the area.

There is an individual classification in furnishings for the kid's bedroom, and this occurred to be the best way to help them keep their space clean. The option of the styles and the particular furnishings will definitely be unique to your kid's requirements.

Apart from play area for kids in their room, it is important to set aside a little space for play areas. Kids love to play all sorts of games and setting aside play areas filled with toys will make them happy. For those residing in small homes, it is vital to make the room colorful and attractive.

The children's bedroom decorations are very important. When designing a bedroom either for a boy or a girl, the first thing that you must consider is the color scheme of the room.
