Hey usaimarketing, I would say that blog can be promoted for traffics in certain ways:

1. Add blogs to multiple Blog directories
2. Subscribe yourself to as many blog which is of your interest within blog directories. This way people will also subscribe your blog even.
3. Post comments on blog which is related to your blog topic
4. Do ping your blog either with pingomatic or pingler when you do post new topic, this way your topic on the blog will be notified to many search engines as well as many blog directories.
5. Dont forget to social bookmark your topic which you had posted on blog.
6. Make a spun version of your article which you had posted on blog and post it to atleast top article directories.
