Are lasers used in the mining industry to remove material?
Are lasers used in the mining industry? i know they are used to measure things, and to gauge things in the mining industry, but are they used to actually cut rock, or drill or anything like that? and if not, why not? surely they would be an easy way to cut rock quickly. i would imagine it would be a better way, than what is currently used.
