Rat Killer

Bangladeshi farmer Mokhairul Islam (R) receives a colour television from Agriculture Minister of Bangladesh Motia Chowdhury (L) at a ceremony in Dhaka. Mokhairul Islam was crowned the country's champion rat killer of 2009 for killing more than 80,000 rodents.

In some developing countries, they keep domesticated rats and rodents as pets. Pet rats are those brown rats and are often called "fancy rats". Domesticated rats tend to be both more docile than their wild ancestors and more disease prone, presumably due to inbreeding.

After ingestion of the poison dehydration commences causing blood thickening & circlatory collapse, rats become lethargic and retreat to their burrow where they lapse into a coma and die. Rats dehydrate and are mummified usually in their burrows.
