According to one account, "If you get error 0x8002A227, Sony banned your PS3 from the PSN.

Sony also requested a restraining order against famed iPhone jailbreaker George Hotz, also known as Geohot, for coming up with a jailbreak that lets people run unauthorized software on the PS3.
